Shop menu
Customers find products from the chat. When the store turns on Shop (in the embedded Routing settings, with
commerce:manage), “Shop” appears in the menu new chats get, next to the store’s teams such as Sales and Support.
What the customer sees
Section titled “What the customer sees”- Choosing Shop, or writing one of the store’s keywords (such as “menu”, “shop” or “dukaan”), opens a list of the store’s categories, plus Sale when products are on sale and View all.
- Choosing a category sends its approved products:
- 1 product: a single-product message;
- 2 to 10: a carousel;
- more: a product list in pages of 30, with a More button for the next page.
- View all sends the store’s whole WhatsApp catalog.
- The customer adds items to a cart and sends it; the cart becomes an order.
Outside the shop’s opening hours, the customer gets the store’s closed message with the next opening time. Texts are in the customer’s language (English, Somali or Arabic), else the store’s.
Settings
Section titled “Settings”| Setting | |
|---|---|
| Shop on or off | Shown in the team menu only while the team menu is on and the catalog is active; keywords work either way |
| Label per language | The menu row’s text in English, Somali and Arabic |
| Position | Where Shop sits among the teams (a menu already showing 10 teams leaves it out) |
| Keywords | Words that open the shop |
| Order team | The team whose folder receives order conversations |
| Opening hours | When the shop answers, using the teams’ working-hours model |
Every message is a reply inside WhatsApp’s 24-hour customer window, so the shop costs no template fees.
