Mobile push and call notifications (coming soon)

Mobile push ships with the mobile SDKs, which are not released yet.

When they ship, an app using the iOS or Android SDK (or the Flutter and React Native modules) will ring for WhatsApp and team calls even when it is in the background or closed:

• iOS: VoIP push (PushKit) and CallKit, so calls show on the lock screen like phone calls.
• Android: high-priority FCM messages and ConnectionService (self-managed), with a full-screen incoming-call notification.

The Developers → Push page of the dashboard already stores the app’s push credentials: an Apple APNs key (.p8 file, key id and bundle id) and a Firebase service account. This page will document the app side step by step when the SDKs ship. Until then, calls ring in the browser through the web SDK.
